VFW Ole Beck Post 209's Honor Guard stands as the backbone of our Post, rendering final military honors to the Veterans of Missoula and western Montana. Led by Honor Guard Commander Terry Zieba, our all-volunteer team performs more than 100 military funeral services each year, ensuring that every Veteran who served this nation is laid to rest with the dignity and respect they earned.

Beyond funeral honors, the Honor Guard conducts flag retirement ceremonies, memorial services, and ceremonial presentations throughout the year. Beginning in 2027, Post 209 will also take on stewardship of Missoula's Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies, continuing a tradition of remembrance built over generations.

The Honor Guard operates entirely through volunteer Veteran members, dedicating their time to ensure no Veteran's service goes unrecognized. If you are a Veteran interested in joining the Honor Guard, or would like to request funeral honors for a Veteran in your family, contact Post 209.
