Ole Beck VFW Post 209 strives to make the best use of every dollar ensuring that 100% of your donation goes to veterans. We take this responsibility very seriously and strive towards maximum efficiency in managing the gifts entrusted to us in their behalf. We do not make outbound calls to ask for donations.

OleBeck Vfw Post 209’s donation link directs you to an online processing system hosted by Elavon Bank's Converge Payment system. This system allows you to make safe donations using the latest encryption technology and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to ensure no one can read your information. Refund Policy

Voice of Democracy
This is a contest that the VFW Voice of Democracy holds providing students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to explore democratic ideals and principles through audio essays. The winner receives a trip to Washington, D.C. and $30,000 in scholarships.
Scout of the Year
This award goes to three young people chosen from Boy or Girl Scouts, Sea Scouts, or Venturing Crew. These three people must have demonstrated exceptional citizenship in school, scouting, and the community. First place winner receives $5,000.
The VFW in the Classroom
Veterans play an important role in educating our nation's youth about the founding principles upon which America was founded. As combat veterans, VFW members can provide students with insight into the great sacrifices our service members make to maintain freedom for all of us.
Patriot's Pen
This is for students in grade 6-8 and challenges them to reflect on American history and their own experiences. The VFW Patriot's Pen essay gives the winner $5,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C.
Teacher of the Year
Three exceptional teachers are chosen each year to receive this award. The VFW choose one from elementary, junior high and high school for their outstanding commitment to instill patriotism and team Americanism to their students.
